a los angeles man killed himself and his entire family a few days ago. we're going to be seeing a whole lot more of these types of incidences. although i do agree that the pressure our economy is putting us under doesn't help matters we have to keep in mind that these people are ill.i suppose what i'm trying to say is that we shouldn't allow these things to scare the living shit out of us. it's awful, but people like that are already sick. they're already depressed and suffering for their own reasons. the financial problems that everyone is facing certainly doesn't make life any easier, but it's definitely nothing to kill yourself over.
i feel for this man and his family. i feel for the old woman who attempted to kill herself because she didn't want to leave her foreclosed home. i feel for everyone who feels the pressure, so much pressure that they want to end it all. i so totally empathise, but the media is going to run with this and turn it and every other single incidence like this into a circus show. the thing that makes my stomach turn is that the general public will eat this up; every last drop of it.
the only thing i do hope is that this prompts our government to work even faster. people suffering like this also need to have options. something needs to be done right away to help families before they end up like this one.
